ITAC GIS Extensions and Services
Components
E-Mail – TNEF & UUENCODE
The GIS Mail Mime Service handles standard MIME encoded
E-Mail. Microsoft mail systems sometimes use a proprietary
encoding called TNEF to encode E-Mail attachments. The ITAC
TNEF Service allows you to decode E-Mail attachments that
have been encoded in the TNEF format.
Some legacy E-Mail systems still use Uuencoding for encoding
binary attachments. This is still common in the shipping industry.
The ITAC Uuencoding Service allows you to create Uuencoded
E-Mails and to decode Uuencoded Emails
Base64 Encode/Decode
With the growth in the use of XML messaging, Base64 has
become a popular encoding format to imbed Binary or non-Text
data into an XML message. The ITAC Base64 Service allows you
to encode and decode data in Base64 format within your Business
Process
XML to PDF
The ITAC XML2PDF Service allows you to utilise XSL-FO to
convert XML data into PDF documents directly within your Business
Process. It utilises the FOP engine from Apache
XML Differencing
One of the challenges in supply chain messaging is determining
what has changed between versions of a Business Document received
from a Trading Partner, such as an Order (Original) and an
Order Change document. The ITAC XMLDiff Service allows you
to compare two XML documents. The result is a new XML document
which highlights the changes
X400 Enveloping and De-Enveloping
Though a dying communications standard, X.400 networks still
exist today. GIS has no native way to allow you to produce
or consume X.400 envelopes. The ITAC X400 Service provides
this capability
WebSphere MQ/JMS RFH2
When utilising the bridge between JMS and IBM WebSphere
MQ, JMS can pass additional message meta-data in RFH2 headers.
The GIS WebSphere Adapters do not support RFH2. The ITAC RFH2
Service allows you to read and write RFH2 headers from WebSphere
MQ messages
JDBC User Exit (Maps)
Ever wanted to access other database tables from a GIS Map?
Need to verify prices or product codes from your business
system databases? The ITAC JDBC User Exit can be called from
any GIS Map to Insert, Update, Select or Delete records from
any database that has a connection pool defined in GIS
BP/Map/XSLT Extraction Utility
The ITAC Component Extraction Service can extract the BPML
Source code, Maps (map, mxl, txo) and XSLT source from GIS
Export packages. Simply pass the GIS Export file to a Business
Process with this Service and the components will be saved
to the GIS file-system
PGP with GnuPG
Interested in utilising PGP with GIS but don’t want
to buy a commercial PGP engine? The ITAC PGP Option utilises
the GnuPG open source PGP engine and can be used with the
GIS PGP Adapter (provides easier management) or as a standalone
solution
Get/Set HTTP Headers
The GIS HTTP Server Adapters allow you to receive and send
“Raw” messages. This allows you to access the
HTTP Header Extensions. Unfortunately GIS does not provide
a way for you to parse these Headers or to create them. The
ITAC HTTP Header Service allows you to utilise HTTP Header
Extensions
Character Encoding
GIS provides the Encoding Service to allow you to convert
data from one Character encoding to another. Unfortunately
before you can utilise this Service you need to determine
the data’s current encoding format. The ITAC Character
Encoding Service can identify the current encoding of the
data
